Terms of Use

These terms apply to everyone who uses Coursing Club. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them, and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What Coursing Club is

Coursing Club is an independent, community-built site for looking up AKC Fast CAT results by dog. It is not operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with the American Kennel Club, Inc. Fast CAT® is an event of the American Kennel Club.

2. Accounts

• You must be 18 or older to create an account.
• Use your own name and an email address you control. You need to confirm that address before you can claim a dog or subscribe.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
• You can change your details, download your data or delete your account at any time from your account page.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• claim a dog you do not own, or pretend to be someone else;
• submit false, altered or misleading documents, results or reports;
• upload anything unlawful, offensive, or that you do not have the right to share;
• harass other owners, or try to work out who other users are;
• scrape the site, send automated traffic to it, or try to get around its security or its limits;
• use the site in a way that breaks the law or these terms.

4. Claiming a dog, and disputes

• To claim a dog you send us its AKC registration number, the owner name on the AKC paperwork, a photo of the registration or title certificate, and a photo of yourself holding photo ID. The Privacy Policy explains how these are stored and when they are deleted.
• Every claim is reviewed by a person. Until a claim is verified it gives you no control over the dog's page and changes nothing that the public sees.
• By submitting a claim you confirm that you are an owner of record of the dog and that the documents are genuine.
• A false claim is grounds for removal of the claim, of anything published under it, and of your account.
• If we decline a claim we email you. You can submit a new claim for the same dog after 30 days, or email us sooner with clearer documents.
• Disputes. If you believe a dog has been claimed by the wrong person, or a profile shows a wrong photo or false information, use “Report” on that dog's page. A person on our team reviews each report and emails the outcome to the reporter. We may ask either side for more evidence, and we may remove a verified claim, and what was published under it, if ownership cannot be confirmed.

5. Rankings and owner-logged results

• Official rankings and speeds come from the AKC's public Fast CAT rankings page. They may be out of date or contain errors. For official standings, always rely on the AKC.
• Runs logged by owners are unofficial. They are entered by the owner, are marked on the site as pending AKC confirmation, and are not AKC records.
• Title progress, points and forecasts shown on the site are estimates to help you plan. They are not confirmation of any title.

6. Premium subscriptions

• Price. Premium costs $9/month or $79/year. The price you will pay is shown before you subscribe.
• Payment. Payments are taken by Stripe. You pay at the start of each billing period.
• Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and your payment method is charged again, until you cancel.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from “Manage subscription” on your dashboard. Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
• After you cancel. The runs you logged and your dog's profile details are kept, but they are hidden from the dog's public page. They come back if you subscribe again.
• Deleting your account cancels the subscription and ends Premium immediately.
• Refunds. Refund requests are reviewed individually. Email support@coursingclub.com to ask.
• Premium features depend on a verified ownership claim. A subscription on its own does not give you control of any dog's page.

7. Photos and other content you add

• You keep the rights to the photos and text you upload.
• You give Coursing Club a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, resize and display them on the dog's page and in shareable cards made from that page.
• Only upload content you have the right to share. Photos you add to a dog's page, including scorecard photos, are public.
• We may remove content that breaks these terms or that someone has a valid complaint about.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account, decline or remove an ownership claim, or remove content, if these terms are broken or if we need to protect the site or other users. You can stop using the site and delete your account at any time.

9. Corrections and takedown requests

Email support@coursingclub.com to ask for a correction or for something to be taken down. Owners of the dogs listed here can ask for changes to their dog's page. The American Kennel Club can use the same address.

10. Disclaimers

Coursing Club is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the data is accurate, complete or up to date, or that the site will always be available.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Coursing Club is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply to you.
